  • Your Favorite Shea-butter Combinations?

Lately I've been adding olive oil to my shea butter. But I've found that it's kinda greasy. So I'm asking you guys what are some of your favorite combinations using shea butter, and what were the results you experienced with your hair? Was it greasy, dried out, soft? Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

Yesterday after wearing corn-rows for a month I deep conditioned my hair. I put one part olive oil, honey rosemary eo and shea butter together. I heated it in the microwave for 20 seconds. I put this on my hair once it cooled and a cap for about 30 minutes. My hair looked great afterwards.

I am just trying to figure out how to incoporate shea into my daily spritz routine.

Hi, I mixed extra vrigin coconut oil with my shea butter. I part my hair in four sections and I mix the shea butter and coconut oil (I don't use a lot of oil, just enough to make the shea butter creamy)in my hands then hair and rub it in hair. My hair feels soft and moisturized afterwards.

I find that mixing shea butter with oil makes it too greasy for me, does anyone just use plain shea butter by itself? Is id less greasy when used alone?

Sorry if it is not the right place to ask the question (I am new!)but I would like to ask to English ladies where do they find they pure shea butter???

you can also try shea with jojoba since jojoba is a bit more drying yet conditioning. Or Shea and Hemp, Shea and Grapeseed both are light and absorb quickly.

You can buy some from Ridley Road Market in Hackney, North East London too, but I also know of a good website- www.akamuti.co.uk, I bought cocoa butter there once, and they were prompt and not overpriced.

Hi all. I picked up a small jar of East African Shea last month. I really enjoy West African Shea, but I wanted to give it a try. I didn't like the EAS so much by itself, but when I mixed the two together, it felt really great on my hair. I don't have any measurements. I just take a small dollop of each, rub them in my palms, and scrunch my damp twa.
