  • The Movie "life Support" On Hbo

I'm not sure if this was mention already, but I just finished watching this show on HBO and without a doubt it was truely good show. The movie was about an HIV-positive woman's work at an AIDS outreach group helps her atone for the past, but winning back her family proves more difficult. So if you have HBO you might want to check it out. A couple of actor is the show is Tracey Ellis Ross and her little brother Evan Ross.

    I believe it's on-demand.

I watched it too. This is based on a true story, Queen Latifah plays Ana. I wish it would have been on network television instead of HBO because more people need to see it. Written and Directed by Nelson George, this is about his sister. Very inspiring.

I have heard so much hype about this movie and I wanted to see it SOO bad, but when I heard it was on HBO, I had to get over it really quick. I don't have HBO, so there went my chances of seeing it. At least at home.

_thinkerg: Maybe I will conveniently be at my mother's house next time its on during the weekend?!

Anyway, I will try to see it. IA that it should have been on regular TV or even regular cable. <_<

I also enjoyed it. Evan Ross's acting is coming along quite nicely. Actually, good performances were turned in by all and most importantly, it was informative.

I watched the movie Saturday night. I thought the young lady that played Queen Latifah's daughter did an excellent job. I was talking to someone about how we need more movies showing how the kids that survive their parent's drug addiction work out their own issues.

No matter what Ana was doing now her daughter could not get past her past addictions, and I was crying when Evan's character got her to see what her daughter was feeling.

    Great movie!

I just finished this movie and of course like the rest of you all i WAS CRYING...such a touching film and truly shows how this disease can affect people...I don't see how any politician/educator could see this movie and try to cut back AIDS funding/research or advocate against condom distribution and PROPER sex education in schools.....

On another note though, I did hear this movie is going to be released on dvd later this year

I saw this movie Saturday night. I thought it was a good movie; I too, wish that it was on network television rather than HBO to reach a larger audience. I noticed, as I watched the credits, that Jamie Foxx is one of the executive producers. And I believe that is Jamie singing at the end while the credits are rolling.

I actually was avoiding this movie, thinking that it was going to be another morbid tale of death, depression, and blame.

Well, I have experienced a change of heart. Great movie, real real real topics and it shows people are just people and just because this has happened doesn't mean they stop living and wait for death or quarantine themselves from the rest of the world.
