    I started Sunday, July 1st, completing day 3 tonight; legs and lower back ache, but understand that it's all part of the cleansing process, however, I've found that massaging with quality emu oil has helped a bit--not much, but this will pass. I'm visiting forums and reading all I can. I've not been hungry at all and have worked two unusually busy days at the law firm, but am looking forward to a day off on the 4th.

    I had to use a few conventional lemons today, since I ran out and couldn't find an organic lemon at any of 4 Whole Foods and a couple of Yes stores here where I live--maybe there's been a run on them due to many people doing this cleanse! Anyway, I'll have all day tomorrow to look in the 'burbs, and I know I'll find organic lemons somewhere! Glut's!

    Didn't expect the pain, which is quite intense and kept me awake last night, but it's subsiding, and I expect to be through this particular symptom at end of 4th day and on to another. This is fun!

    We are! Been busy/tied to city last couple of days, but I'm there Saturday definitely if stores close-in still disappoint.

    Day 5: leg pain almost gone, a twinge here and there, esp. if I flex the muscles, e.g., to lift something a bit heavy (like my bag!), otherwise it's all good, I feel great, no cravings at all, though I'm shopping and cooking for the fam.

    I started this morning.. A lady at my church has been doing it for a while. She was taking Hydroxycut Hardcore, and got hook on the Master cleanse, its helped her with loosing weight, and reducing cellulite. I think that's what the Hyrdoxycut did also.... She used Minute 100% lemon juice.. It increased her metabolism, it helped alot during her workout..

    It was a dad bit spicy going down, I think I used 3 dashes...But I am going to continue with it....

    I just started today. I didnt do the SW flush though I think Ill do that tomorrow. Im supposed to be doing it with a friend of mine but she's pretty flaky.

    I understand completely. I started last night with the tea and did the SWF and lemonade all day today....up until about 5PM. I was hungry so I broke and ate some trail mix. I gonna just go ahead and have dinner, pray about it and try to build up my will power to start again. This is my 2nd time trying and this happened the first time as well. I really want to do this as well, for several reasons. It seems like a great way to clean out your digestive system and start anew. I have really poor eating habits and I crave sweets all the time. I know it's really a "mind over matter" thing. But what I'm looking to gain from the fast is reduced or no cravings for sweets and more of a palate for fruits and veggies.

    I'm gonna keep trying as well. One question though...can someone share with me their AM routine during the week while working. I'm afraid to try the SWF in the mornings during the week, for fear that I may not be close to a bathroom when I need to be. Secondly, I read that it's recommended that you take the tea in the AM if you can't SWF. Does anyone else feel like that is too much laxative. I certainly want to develop better eating habits and health, but I don't want to screw up my digestive system while I'm trying.

    I've done the cleanse off and on a few times. My longest stretch was 8 days. What helped me get past the cravings was drinking more lemonade. It really helps if you just take a couple of swigs of the lemonade anytime you get hungry, or get a craving for something.

    I started the cleanse on Saturday, July 7th. This is my first time.
    The book isn't too explanatory in what counts as 'diarrhea' so I choose not to do the laxative tea/salt water flush today. That SWF is intense!!! It drained me of all energy. I didn't know if I could go to 11am service yesterday and I woke up at 6! I had to sleep a little afterwards, like I passed out. I must have something nasty in there if the salt has to work that hard on me. I'm afraid to do a SWF Mon-Fri. I don't know how I can work after that! I think I will just do the laxative tea morning and night and wait until the weekends for the SWF. I should've done something today because eliminations=good.
    I don't really have hunger pangs. The lemonade is just fine. I feel my muscles, like I've been weight training or yoga. I'm excited to go to my yoga class today because working out feels great.
    Who knew lemons were so expensive though. haha Buying 12 lemons at a time. I'm using about 3 lemons a day. 1/2 lemon gives me 4 TBSP and just 1 TBSP of Maple Syrup.
    Well this is my day 3 and I feel GRRREAT! I'm trying to go 10+ days to get clean and lose some weight. I need to lose at least 25 lbs. If I see weight dropping, I think I can tough it out.

    I am starting the master cleanse tomorrow July 12. I plan to stay on the cleanse for 14-20 days. I hope the cleanse opens up my mind and body to a new beginning of a more vegetarian lifestyle. After I finish the cleanse I then plan to do a raw vegetable cleanse for a total of 14 days as well. If anyone is starting tomorrow let me know!!     You'll get exactly what you're looking for with the MC. I've done it several times over the years and it really is a wonderful process. I'm indulging in it again for the month of August. The last time was January. If you have access, I'd suggest that you also spend some time letting your body process the lemonade while you're in the steam room or sauna. I'm a big champion of the use of both of these, especially the sauna. When I was cleansing, I made this a daily part of my routine. The only thing I'm doing differently this go round is not to discuss my cleanse with real life folks. It takes away from it sometimes. I'll just give them the link.

    eta: For the ladies who are having a hard time sticking with it:

    1. Be easy with yourself. Don't beat yourself up if you keep repeating Day One. If your diet was on one extreme of the spectrum, you might have to hike through some of the middle ground to get to the other end of the spectrum. Just keep starting over until you find yourself truly IN the cleanse.

    2. Attach the cleanse to something bigger than your Self. If the cleanse is attached to goals such as weight loss, one will likely find it difficult to stick with it. The Cleanse becomes another "diet" and we know how easy it is to slip off of the newest diet. Instead, attach the MC to something grander. Perhaps you want confirmation of your level of discipline? Perhaps you decide to fast and donate the money not spent on meals to a cause of your choice? Perhaps you can treat the fast AS a demonstration in the name of the cause? You could say to your Self: I'm master cleansing in honor of_______(breast cancer survivors? the troops? sexual abuse survivors?..) the possibilities are endless.

    I'm on day 5 of the master cleanse and its going pretty good. AS what was already stated here, the first three days were a challenge. I had a really good day on day 4. My energy is high and I feel good, mind clear and i think i lost at least 7lbs so far. I still crave food. I was feeding my son a cracker earlier and it looked like the best thing on earth. I am not starving or really hungry, i just really enjoy food and i miss it.

    I'll be starting Saturday the 28th. I do have a question though. I have an important exam on August 10th at noon. I've never done the cleanse before, will I be okay to take the exam? I don't want to have to use the bathroom, cause I won't be able to leave the exam room. And I want to make sure I am able to study in the days leading up to the exam.

    I finished my 10 days on July 10, then did one whole day of juice/raw food, and then resumed regular diet, which has been meat-free for decades. I lost only 6 pounds, which was good enough, I guess, and other benefits gleaned are more important to me. I'll do next one for 15-20 days, beginning Oct. 1. Overall, though I had a couple of days of discomfort, the fast went well, was quite easy.

    I found out from the produce guy at Whole Foods that organic lemons are a winter food, and are extremely hard to find this time of year. If you do find them, they are $1 a piece as compared to conventional at .69 cents. So I bought conventional, is that gonna be a problem?

    In my opinion you'll be fine. How long are you going for? If you're doing ten days, then you should be about finished by then. Make sure you either forego the saltwater flush or do it very early. You'll likely be a lean, mean testing machine by then.

    I'm cleansing for the entire month of August: Modified Master Cleanse (10) Pure Master Cleanse (10) and then back to Modified for the final days of the month. The last portion I'll be incorporating bentonite clay, gse, and chlorophyll along with some other goodies. I'm looking forward to it. It'll be challenging since I'm having fun family members in town (no likka and we love to socialize around food) but my goals come first. There will be other visits.

    I've been drinking this mixture for the past couple of weeks..Somewhat of a modified but not completely A lady at my church wasn't following the diet, but just drinking it as a replacement to taking hydroxycut. But I was going to do the modified one strictly ( the one that's posted by MC) next week. I've been experiencing increase d high rate, i could be sitting down ( like now), talking, laying down, etc and it happens. Has anyone else experience this?

    I found this juice at whole foods and its 100% organic lemon juice. Is this okay to use? Because organic lemons are extremely hard to come by and are very expensive. They also have lime juice.

    Did some research on the web and found out its not a good idea to use the juice.

    So this is Day 1. (my third try). Its hard, but I'm on track lemonade wise. I don't mind the taste at all. I kinda like it. My head is killing me though. I forgot to drink water. Its hard to remember to drink all this liquid, plus I'm at work. I'm gonna make sure to increase my water intake for tomorrow.

    I plan on starting my cleanse on Sunday. I have been feeling really crappy since I started back on the unhealthful stuff. Trying to get back into tip top shape. So next week I will be fasting, doing yoga and journaling. Good luck to all!

    Day 2, mid-afternoon.

    Today is going well. I was hungry this morning at work. I was too busy to drink the lemonade like I should have, but I think I'm about caught up right now. I felt a little dizzy this morning too, but I think was due to lack of lemonade. I've been putting lime in my juice and its very tasty. I haven't noticed any changes so far, but then again I haven't really been paying attention.

    Right now my immediate goal is 10 days but I'm hoping to go further, about 15 or so.

    Adding my two cents. This is day two for me....

    How on EARTH do you get through the frekkin' SWF's?? I couldn't stomach it! I don't cook with a lot of salt, and this was overkill. I stopped when I felt it was too much. I've taken some smooth move tea - but I thought it would work sooner?

    Anyway, I definitely had the flu like symptoms day 1! Amazing right? Is there anyone else who's on this right now?

    I fail on day one...but hope to start up soon...

    For the SWF, try really warm water. Then it almost tastes like broth. Then I just down it in gulps. If you have trouble keeping it down or feel its too much, just drink it all within 10-15 minutes and try laying down on your right side after you drink it.

    I'm not sure what time you are doing the tea, but if you do the tea at night it should work by the time you wake up. For me, it sometimes wakes me up.

    I admire your self discipline. I am not a fan of the cleanse diet. Basically you're just straving yourself and your body is not getting the nutrients you need. Once you get off and start eating regular food you will gain it all back quickly. Plus while you are on it you could get really sick. I would suggest eat more fruits and vegetables and get rid of salt and sugar in your diet.

    The master cleanse is not a diet. It is a cleanse, the weight loss is just an added bonus. You do not automatically gain all the weight back, it depends on your diet and lifestyle in general.

    This is a master cleanse support thread, if you are against the master cleanse, you should start another thread addressing your concerns.

    Today is Day 6. Things are going great. I hope I can do it longer than 10 days, but we shall see. I had a dream last night that I was eating some food and I started telling someone about the cleanse. Thats when I realized I was eating. I was so upset, so I ran to the bathroom to make myself puke it up. I wasn't sure if I got all of it but I was ok, then I woke up. How random.

    This is a master cleanse support thread, if you are...

    I am not againist the Master Cleanse. All I am saying is that there is another way to cleanse and you can do that by eating fruits, vegetables, and getting rid of all the process food in your diet. I say if you want to do the master cleanse than more power to you. I support those who want to do it. The point I was trying to make is that there are other ways to cleanse your body. Thanks for a suggestion on starting another thread.

    I never did the SWF and the "cleansing" still worked well for me! My BF's mother does the Master Cleanse four times a year, and she's the one who told me that it's OK to just drink the lax tea once a day. It took about 5-6 hours for the tea to start it's effects on me.
