I love and live by poo-bars. I kicked the shampoo habit about 3 years ago and I have no plans on turning back. I use Bobeam poo bars and African Black Soap. Once you experience cleansing with moisture, you can't entertain anything less.

I'm yet to find their shampoo bars stripping or drying. They're great! I enjoy Cafe Moreno the best (so far).

You can go to the health food store and try whatever brand you want-lavendar,oatmeal etc...probably a rosemary bar would be great to start, choose your poison! lol! See if you like then shop! I sware by http://www.afrikanrepublic.com/pd_6pack_real.cfm#main. I use it on my body, hair and family. I also suggest it to clients. I usually buy a pack of 6 because it goes so fast. Also, when I get a pimple, i put it on at night and it dries it up. This company ships FAST and it's about the business! It's the first one that supplies ABS that Im excited to share with others...so have fun!

To those of you planning to try the soaps not all of them are created equally if you want to see how yours pairs up to Chagrin Valleys compare the ingredients. SoMe of them can be dryinG to hair.

I am the Chagrin Valley soap/shampoo bar queen. My son and I don't use anything else. He has eczema. I like their fall collection better, so I buy a gang of those soaps and use them on my hair and my body year round. I agree...if the ones you buy are to drying for your hair...use them as clarifying soaps and just don't use them often. I haven't had any problems with them...but not all hair and skin...created equal.

Thank you much. Thank you thank you...

Impy, I've used both. You'll like Chargin valley better. They have a bigger selection and ship pretty fast. Lush bars aren't really made for our hair. They work, but strip (at least to me).

Has anyone tried Oyin Homemade's Grand Poo bar? I used their honey wash and it was okay but I've heard that the Grand Poo bar is really the shampoo to try.
