  • Janet..... Have You Seen Your Hairline Lately?

Janet's latest photo from her upcoming video "Call on Me".
Is it me or is her hair line alarmingly thin? A drastic comparison to all the hair she's worn since she became a huge singing star 20 years ago.
When I see this it make me feel bad for her. Once she takes all the hair off, I wonder what goes through her mind when she sees all the damage they have caused her own hair and hair line all these years. Eventually, all her hair will be this thin and damaged and she will have to permanently wear wigs and weaves. Isn't that just terrible to think? This is why I wish someday, she will just stop it and wear her own hair to save what she has left under all that hair she wears. It's not too late!
Wishful thinking.......I know. I know. Hollywood does that to our black celebrities. Just look at Beyonce.....

    L M B A O!

But for freal, for real....her hair line isn't any worse than alot of naturals i've seen who've gelled and brushed their edges to be damned...all in an attempt to create totally unnatural looking waves...so her hairline looks a mess, but some of ours do too!

Valid point, but at least we naturals learn from the error of our ways when we see even natural hair can become damaged from over manipulation. Thus, if hair bands, clips, bobby pins, braids, extensions, weaves or what not are thinning our hair or etching away our hairlines, at least we have the sense to cut back or stop using them so our hair can recover. I'm not just picking on Janet here. You made a valid point and it applies to all of us naturals alike.

I think Janet's hairline was her sacrifice for wearing weave in the business for so many years. I think that perms can do unseen damage over period of time. Also I agree that Brandy may be a victim and many other Black enterainers.

    Peace,

I had to tell my sis the EXACT same thing. Natural or otherwise her hairline was receding back to the middle of her head(not a look she really wanted). I told her she needs to start being a bit "nicer" to her hair. And she honestly didn't know what she was doing to cause this.

Yes i see many sisters like this i dont know why they hold on to the weaves i think they must be addicted especially brandy my gosh she loves her weaves.I have a acquaintance who has alot of hair loss i recently saw her with alot of missing hair on the sides&micro braids she saw me with my new shorter natural hair& she commented on it you cut ya hair like she didnt like it.I should have commented on her hair loss but i didnt we exchanged numbers i havent called her yet i dont know where to begin on having this convo with her but i feel i must.
