  • It Is Done...

For over a year (and rapidly heading toward two) I have been locing and taking all the photos I could on my Treo. Well... the wait is over. I have finally stopped procrastinating and uploaded all of my photos to the link in my profile.
BE WARNED: They are not in any type of order, but the date can be found underneath the pic. For example, it says something like 021305 - meaning 02/03/2005. So, if someone is searching for the earliest pic, you'll have to dig... although I think it's the one of me in the white Kangol.
Anywho... thanks for all the support the site has given me and I hope to inspire someone else that's down for the journey!

Sorry so long to reply... i'm getting married soon so I got mad ish going on.
Anyway, thank you so much for all the love. I have gotten so much inspiration and information from all of my sistahs and brothers here on the loc board that I just wanted to give some back. Stalking loc albums was how I figured out how to begin my loc journey and how to maintain it. Maybe someone will be searching for a way and stumble up on mine... you never know!

Lameena... Queen Bee salon on OSU's campus is righteous as far as natural hair is concerned. There's a chick there named Danielle and another named Dominique that could hook her up. As far as sisterlocs are concerned, let me check my resources. I believe there's a chick that does them that I used to work with. I'll get back to you on that one.

Nyckei, where does that quote in your sigi come from....is it a book?

    Yessss.... it is a book...

Okay, okay. I'm a shameless self-promoter. It's my book. I'm a writer and that is the sequel to another book I wrote.
That's probably one of the funniest quotes in the book, so I threw it in my siggy.

    But I'm glad you asked...

Nice dreads. I love the thickness and the "streaks". Congrats on the books. I know this is the wrong forum but do you have any other info about them ?

Thanks! I was nervous about coloring but I dunno... something about going natural and subsequently locing made me a whole lot less worried about color.
About the books, the one in my siggy Not Like it Used To, is in the final stages of editing and the one preceeding it, The Price of Preservation... I'm actually trying to self-publish it. But I got a copy to let cha lay eyes on -- as long as you say good things about me... (JK) PM me and I can get it off to you.
