  • Finding Things In Your Hair

I just chopped, my hair is not that long, but I have been finding things in there that I forgot I put in there. I reach in my fro to scartch my head just now and there's a hair pin and a small comb I used to keep my twists flat when I'm sleep. I took all the twists out this morning...I have no idea how I missed that. The other day I found a huge blue bobbi pin in there. I swear I didn't see it when I was out. I don't even remember putting it in there. I can only imagine when it gets bigger

Do you find stuff in your fro?

too funny! I have forgotten to take out the brown plastic hairpins I use - they're easy to miss. I wouldn't worry unless you start finding loose change.

    all the time.

I will have twists in my hair and take them out. Then I find myself playing in my hair and notice I missed a good 4/5 twists. I'm like what the!

Last friday my friend thru a piece of balled up gum wrapper in my head and I just got my hand and rubbed thru it to make sure it wasnt still there. I'm sitting in a meeting a work 3 days later picking at my hair..why did I find that dang wrapper. The first thing that came to mind when I found it was...."I'ma beat that girl"...lol

So yeah, I'm always finding stuff. From a bobby pin to a forgotten twist(s) to a balled up bubble gum wrapper!

    I've found
-pieces of this fluffy stuff from the trees that grow here (they fly all around the campus and get in everyone's hair, but our hair catches it the most lol)
    - a forgotten/undiscovered twist
    - a tiny dab of hair lotion or something that i missed while getting ready in the morning

I wanna find a bird's egg in there one day

I find missed twists in mine all the time! And everytime I go to wash I swear I check 2-3 times for bobby pins in my hair, as soon as I get ready to put my head under the faucet I find like 4 of them!

I think it would be kinda cool to hide things in my hair once it got bigger. Like going to buy candy at Walgreens and sticking in my hair so I wouldn't have to pay those movie candy prices!!! I would wear a BAA to the movies everytime if I could do that

There's the occasional twist that I thought I had taken down. But the most annoying thing I keep finding in my hair are gray hairs that I keep mistaking for lint. Then one day last week, I kept seeing somthing I thought was lint, but then I was like nooooo, that's a gray hair. Then my sister came and sat next to me and plucked something out of my hair. So of course I asked, "What was that?" Her reply was quite simply "Lint."

It's so funny you started this thread. Today I was feeling in my hair after wearing my fro for a few days and found a tiny acron or something of that nature in my hair.

That's exactly what I was thinking of - that Simpson's episode where Marge pulled the kitchen sink, a coin jar, and some other items out of her hair.

I am notorious for finding twists in my twistouts days later, and I have also found an occasional hair or bobby pin that I didn't take out from days earlier...

Yep, like many, I find the occasional twist that I didn't remove. But I've gotten it to a science now and it gives me a reason to play with my hair and finger comb through it. If I'm doing a twist out, I don't care about catching some renegade twists anyway, but if it's condition and put the twists back in day, well I want to catch them all.

Also, I've lost clips and what-not in my hair a couple of times. Recently, I had a twist that wanted to express itself by sticking up all the time. So I clipped it down one night and forgot about it. The next day I was wondering why my twists looked so weird, felt around and found the clip.

So, one day we were taking a final early in...

Nothing else found yet, except the occasional leaf and missed twist.

How about I've found bobby pins....rubberbands....and for some odd reason a dead yellowjack wasp thingy. I wash/rinse my hair everyday or every other day so maybe it fell in my head when I was buy my tree. All that and only been natural for a month. Just praying I don't get a spider's nest.

I never find them, my boyfriend does, when he looks carefully to see whet's on it or he puts stuff on like:
-feathers from my pillow, every other night they get stuck there (SO always gets them out).
-little green flies (there are so many now due to the weather).
-coins (my SO put them there) like pennies that I can never feel.

The worst of all that is that i will go out f the house without realising it

Lemme lone. I brush my teeth a lot. I'm THINKING some of it got on my hand and then I touched my hair. Either that or it was minty fresh bird crap.

What is Miconazole? Nah, I don't use growth aids --> don't need 'em.

    Let me go google "Miconazole".

BrandyNichole83 and tatyroots - That is my fear every summer,...

When I get a new computer and a digital camera. My computer blew up (literally) last year, and on my fabulous graduate student's budget , I will be purchasing a new one towards the end of August. (I use my work computer to surf forum. ) The camera portion of my camera phone died back in January so even THAT'S not an option.

Unfortunately, the only pictures of me that survived the computer disaster are of either r.elaxed hair or special occasion flat i.roned hair. If you give me your e-mail, I'll send you a pic of the flat i.roned hair if you want.

Don't be scurred of the hair bugs. Be one with nature. I named the lady bug that I found "Paris Hilton".
