so i have a question...coz a sistah is in this new and beautiful realationship with this beautiful kin but he aint a veg, which is ok coz i aint tryna badu the brotha (lol)...

now i know that sex would equal a vegan taking in a nonvegans toxins, but what about saliva? any thoughts?

even if you dont exactly have the answer feel free to share speculations, comments, whatever.

    blessed love

I dont think saliva is a big deal, unlike semen that contains protein.

HI nottyfreedom -I just pm'd you but I'll expand on my answer after a think about it...

    My personal opinion:

As in all relationships, when differences happen, its best to be honest with the person from the start.

If its purely the physical toxins, then I don't think you have to worry about saliva.

I would say that if you feel that it absorbs the other person's essence, then all forms of intimate physical involvement with that person-kissing included- is part of the process. Being intimate with a person involves passing on energy and I have been told that being a vegan makes for purer energy...

I'm not a vegan and still transitioning -but my partner is a strict vegan and this has become an issue in the past for both of us. He told me that he had the physical and emotional (essence and energy) issues involved with the difference... in the end, he had to make the decision of how important it was to him and if it would affect our relationship in the future. I think he was also worried whether or not we would be able to relate in our shared living -as he says, being vegan is a lifestyle.

Being honest with yourself about it is the most important aspect of deciding... and there might be some compromises(spelling?) to make.

    Just my thoughts from experience.

I was reading something to that effect from Queen Afua's book "Heal Thyself." It was along the line of you are what you eat. So good luck sista's in your unions with the brotha's.

    Is it really that serious??
I am sorry, but I don't know much about veganism, but would you REALLY feel a difference if you receive a meat eaters "energy?"
It just seems that there are so many toxins and unknown chemicals in our society from carpets, computers, cell phone, car exhaust, and other everyday things.
It just seems like overkill to me.
    Please enlighten me to this.

It's actually not an over-reation. Just like the brotha LOCUGOD stated in Queen Afua's book and in other Afrikan centered holistic health publications an emphasis is placed on abosorbing the energy of another person who consumes dead flesh. When a person is vegan and their body is clean it is possible to come into contact with mucus and other aspects of a body that is considered diseased through sexual contact.

I know plenty of vegans who think swapping salva with a non veg is unvegetarian. I think that is a bit to the extreme. However, when it comes to more intimate acts, I would have to agree. Especially when it comes to reproduction.

and YES IT IS THAT SERIOUS. Veganism/vegetarianism is a lifestyle like any other. Just like some ppl wont date outisde of their religion, race, income bracket, education bracket..................its all about being compatable.

I knew I had seen it in Queen Afua's book "Heal Thyself" its starts on page 197, chapter 18. Diet and Life Style in Preparation for Divine Exchange of Fluids. Its a deep chapter I must say, because this society has taught us its all about the bump and grind mentality. Making love to even kissing is the transfer of energy and fluids we must overstand that we are more that just the physically body we are vibrating Beings and depending on how we cultivate our self we will give low or high energies to each other on different mental and physical levels.

I can see how eating the same foods and living a certain lifestyle make people more compatiable, but are there any adverse health effects for a vegan to receive meat proteins (which i am sure are minute) via bodily fluids?? Or is it just a personal preference not to be in a relationship w/ a non vegan, and less about the possibilty how big or small that these meat proteins enter your body?
I am a person who likes to see research studies and hard facts, and just b/c some unknown guy says so, doesn't seem like that is enough to count it as fact.
Thank you for answering me questions. All this is new to me.

As a vegan I would prefer to only accept semen and make babies with a man that is clean of diseased foods, animal energy, as well as any other energies that are foul(mentally, spiritually, or health wise). I did not clean my body up only for another man to pollute me.

It is quite serious. Especially if you desire a sacred and holistic union that might eventually produce a child. It’s about a holistic lifestyle. Its not just about, "I don’t like meat, eggs, or dairy". It’s about elevating and being in tune with each other.

Veganism that many Whites take part in, animal rights and all that is a whole different ball game than African Holistic Health.

I understand perfectly...It's a lifestyle, not just a way of way of eating. I actually didn't know it was that serious.

Not all vegans/veggies feel this way.

You and a vegan/veggie guy could work out.

I don't have an opinion on this topic but I've been considering becoming vegetarian. Could someone help me out on ways to start this journey? Recipies? Support? or direct me to a board that may be able to better assist me. you can PM me if you like.
