    What do you dream about?

My dreams are really starting to freak me out. I'd say a good portion of my dreams are nightmares, not half, but its up there. My latest dream: And I know this dream sounds lame but really when your dreamin it, its scary.

I was in my house with my brother(whos 18 but in the dream was like 11ish) hanging out and I could fly. I could fly when my arms were straight at my sides and I turned my hands up to go up and down to go down. Well this creature was in the house and it was trying to get me. Everytime I would try to get away by flying it would jump on me to bring me down because on the ground it could get/kill me, I'm not sure what it was trying to do. So I went outside and there was this kid in a park and he was playing. I was practicing my flying and the kid was like wow you can really fly, you are not like a regular kid. So then he practiced flying, but he was just rolling on the ground. (WTF?) Then I went back inside to pack my stuff to get out of the house and the monster kept devising ways to jump on me or prevent me from flying. He almost got me a few times but once he did and I somehow bent him in half and threw him in another room and closed the door. Then I tried to fly and he jumped on my arm and sunk his teeth in. So I grabbed his face and was ripping it off and gouging out his eyes. No blood though, his parts that I ripped off turned to like yellow crumbs. Then I woke up mid gouge.

Now what they h*ll kinda dream is that. My dreams are always freaking me out. I have had quite a few flying/floating dreams and they are always nightmares and some creature or monster or bad guy is always trying to stop me from getting away?

Now that I think about it the creature looked like the honeycomb cereal monster. Except he was yellow, had a body and was less cute more evil

Finally someone understands. I think flying would be cool but in my dreams flying only occurs in nightmares and 9 times out ten something was after me and I can never fully control the flying. There was always some weakness that enabled the thing to get or almost get me.

I understand where you're coming from! But one day I just stopped running, then I began to chase it and when I turned around, it wasn't what I thought it was! Those dreams stopped. ^_^ Other dreams where people were trying to hurt me, I stopped and asked them what they wanted, and they said they were trying to tell me something.

piggybacking on tenkei's post; it might be a good idea for you to look into developing lucid dreaming skills. basicaly it's waking up your consciousness while maintaining dream state. rent 'waking life' or do a google search. great way to regain control of your dreams.

my dreams are usually pretty vivid buto nly occasionally get violent. i remember being on malarial medication when i was studying aborad in zimbabwe. i had some NUTSO dreams. sci-fi business.

I'll do that with less malevolent dreams, but when I tried that once w/ the dreams I had for recurring years I almost suffocated in real life. Okay, eek, I'm wigging myself out, lol.

can you rent that at blockbuster?

I think I did that when I was younger. I kept having dreams about the devil trying to take me away and do something(i never found out) and I would wake up freaked every few nights. My aunt(super religious) told me to shout the name of Jesus Christ when that happened. I did. Well at first I was only shouting in my dream and then I thought I woke up but then the devil was still in my room and I realized I was still in the dream. So I tried to shout again. I remember it being really hard like weights were pressing on my mouth and then I woke up shouting.
Phew. Ill have to research this.

Tenkei how did you confront them?

Do you guys think dreams mean something or are just our random thoughts? I hear both opinions everytime i hear something about dreams.

lol dream twin. Yeah when I also try to wake up or I guess in real life I'm trying to sit up it is so hard. I feel the pressure on my body and its like you fight it and little by little it gets lighter and you can do whatever you trying to do.

I did find this site. Can someone look at it and tell me if it sounds right. How to have lucid dreams I found it by googling lucid dreams. In my research I ran into some info about out of body experiences. Has anyone ever experienced one?

I once read this book where this girl could control her out of body experiences. But she had an evil twin, she'd never met who wanted her life and while the good twin's spirit was out of her body the evil twins spirit inhabited her. So she was stuck watching her sister be her. After a while her strength faded and if she didnt get in her body soon she'd never be able to. In the end she was able to get into her body. But I remember that freaked me out.

Have you ever tried forcing yourself awake from a nightmare? I remember having to physically pry my eyes open to get out of a dream. It was like they were glued shut. I was awake, but trapped in the dream satate because my eyes were still closed.

I've also been insituations where I'll be having a nightmare and sunddenly wake up and feel relieved. My sister or my mom will be next to me asking if I'm okay and I'll start describing my nightmare to them. It's not until I catch something crawling towards me out of the corner of my eye that I realize that I'm still dreamng and whatever I'm talking to is distracting me from noticing odd things about my surroundings like some dark thing slithering closer to me _headshake: Man, I could go on for days

Has a dream last night that I was pregnant. Didn't know who the father was (of 2 guys).

One of my sisters was also pregnant, and we had our babies at the same time.

When mine came out, at first, it was a piece of raw meat. Boneless steak, I think. (that's what it looked like) Very lean, not bloody.

Then, it turned into 2 tubes of superglue that were glued together (and I was waiting for it to solidify and become a gender)

Then, it turned into a white phallic shape, which meant it was a boy. :Angry_boese008: But when it first came out (the piece of meat) I was positive it was a girl for some reason.

I was calling my ex to tell him I may be have just had his kid. Because the superglue was black, and his hair is black (the other guys hair is blond).

    Who can explain that!! ^_^

Have you ever tried forcing yourself awake from a nightmare?...

I have that too, I hate that!! Sometimes I can feel a prescence standing over me, but I can't open my eyes or move!! Other times, I want to scream, but my mouth won't open.

Vinny do you feel that in your dream or when you are waking up? More than a few times I have felt a prescence around me. Not a good one either. Like in my room or when my eyes are closed in the shower. Its like I can feel a *dark* prescence. Eeeeeee I'm freaking myself out. I wish I knew if it was my imagination or if it was real. Dangit I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight!

    Honey you're freaking us out!

I can feel a bad presence in my dream, even when my dream is still outwardly pleasant I can still feel that it's about to "turn". Okay, *pause* while I go open my door *unpause*.

Oh and vixxen it's very real h34r:

lol. i know what you mean about the "turn" Everything is nice or okay but somehow you know you can't relax and you know its not good.

I forgot to add. Sometimes as I am falling asleep I wake up startled. Now you know when you wake cause of a noise. You aren't sure what it is but you know you heard and thats why you woke up. Well I feel someone or something, sometimes leaning right over me, in the room or eeek in my bed. and I KNOW thats why I woke up.

*pause* while I go open my door *unpause*.
Gurl, my door's been opened and I made the dog come inside and sit outside my room.

So what are these prescences? And how come there is never a good one?

This is also why I don't watch scary movies involving spirits or dreams. A la Freddy Krueger and Fallen with Denzel Washington. Things like that are too wild because you cant control them. I mean you have to go to sleep sometime.

Ok this may sound lame too. But I usually don't like to talk about this stuff because saying it means I believe it and what if *they* hear. If *they* know I believe....well I don't know but its just scarier.

Its not so bad to type though.

I'm not sure...it's a state of being awake but unable to function, so I may still be dreaming or just exhuasted, I'm not sure which. But it scares me when it happens, because I know I need move and get away from it, but it's as if I'm paralyzed.

    My craziest dream EVER:

I was at an MJ concert, which was great because I'm mad that I'm too young and too poor to have ever seen him in concert. So he's singing and dancing and I'm LOVING every minute of it . . . . . and he comes down near the audience. He reaches out and I grab his hand . . . . . . . . and then his hand starts to turn brown . . . . . . . . and the brown slowly travels up his arm to his neck and face and across his body to his other harm. Then his perm falls out and he has a twa. He's still singing and dancing during this whole transformation, and when he starts moonwalking his latest nose falls off and the Thriller nose magically grows back. By the end of the concert he's phenotypically Black again. And it's all because he touched my hand

The strange thing about my dreams are they usually come true. In high school I would constantly have times of deja vu and could never figure out why until one night at a friends party I had a dream that Sam Kinison(had no idea why I was dreaming about this man)had a car accident and died and surely enough when I woke up and turned on the radio and they said Sam Kinison was dead and died in a car accident, it freaked me out so bad I was afraid to go to sleep for a week. After that I would make a point of remebering my dreams and found that eventually they would turn out to be true.

The same thing happened to me. I got tired of trying to fight sleep, but it was those demonic spirits that tried to attack me in my sleep. While being attacked it was like I was awake but my body was numb. I couldn't move! And I began to feel pressure on my head as to suffocate me when I called out Jesus' name. So I had to remind myself that the word of God is my sword and not my fists. I could fight those demonic spirits all night long (and I could!) but it would never end! You have to have the word down on the inside and use it on the enemy's camp when they try to bumrush you when you try to get your zzz's. The joy of the Lord is your strength. ^_^

I write my dreams down so I can interpret them later and I find its best to do so time you awake.

I've found many answers in my dreams

Here is a site that may help interpret what you are dreaming http://psychology.about.com/library/dreams...interpretor.htm. Read and interpret at your own risk. Good luck and sweet dreams

Hmmm, I've been taught that sometimes dreams can be premonitions but most of the times dreams are representations of what's going on in our life and are symbolic. (Then there are the dreams that I called "WTF dreams" cuz them joints make no type of sense. I usually get them when I have a fever.)

Anyway vixxen one thing that might help would be to evaluate what's goin on in your life, like is there something that is causing you anxiety that you are afraid to face? Are you afraid something is going to "catch up" with you? That little monster is something significant. These are just suggestions. When I have a really disturbing dream I ask all these questions of myself and try to determine all the symbols.

Some people buy those dream books that have a list of all the things you might dream about and what they mean. I don't really like those because what symbols mean are first shaped by our culture and then by our personal lives. For instance an example of a symbol shaped by cultures is the owl. In Western culture, the owl is a symbol of wisdom, but in India my friend told me that the owl is a symbol of stupidity, and in some Native American cultures an owl is a symbol of death and is an extremely bad omen. An example of a personal example would be like dreaming of a tarantula. Me dreaming of a tarantula would mean something different from my cousin dreaming of one, cuz I hate them things and my cousin doesn't mind them and owns several of them.

Anyway, my point is, maybe all these dreams that you are having is your subconscious trying to tell you something. It doesn't have to be a major thing but maybe something that you can change or face in your life. That's all. Hope that helps.
