    I wasn't either but since y'all done took it there. I gotta admit that I've come to this thread at least TEN times tryin' to figure out what the hell those things are???!!!!???!!!!???!!!! Jazi you know that we love you but I SERIOUSLY wondered how you rolled up on that pic and thought "OH! _thinkerg: now THIS is a great illustration of what curls look like! " And then the penny?....Man I just don't know but now I can let it all out ointlaugh: ointlaugh:

    I think of a curl as "S" shaped. While a coil is "O" shaped, wrapping around itself.

    let's stop beating around the bush here. Our hair is tighty curled. It's not science. This isn't rocket science.

    It's very simple. Tight curls.

    Some people have zig-zags.

    Some have both.

    Not a big deal.

    There is a difference like Sekhmet said.Here is a example...

    ^^yup my hair is like the coil example and dee's definition as well. There is a big difference because CURLS are LOOSER then COILS a coil is like a spring and a curl is just a curl.
