Well starting March 1 I will be starting the BFL 12 week program. I'm really stoked. I was wondering if anyone else has tried it and did it work, also did it work in the long run to. If you have then help a sista out with some pointers.
    Thanks

Congratulation on you new lifestyle!!!! Did you read all of the book. If so, your mind should be mental ready for the change. My pointer to you would be follow the 12 week program to a T. If you fail it's okay start back over. Eventually you'll get it.

My girlfriend did the program and she had much success. After stuggling the fist time around. She keep a journal of what she ate and what she did for execrise. Good luck!!!!!! You can do it!!!!!!

I did BFL for the 1st time back in 2001 and I went from a size 14 to a size 10. Unfortunately, when I started grad school with the late night studying came the late night eating.

But I've been back on BFL since January 10th and although I haven't weighed myself since I started (TIP: Don't weigh yourself alot...it'll drive you crazy , I'm able to wear ALOT of clothes that I haven't been able to wear since I moved to Texas (I went crazy with all of the Tex Mex food!).

lifeAgift...BFL provides a great list of food that is "safe" to eat. You can go to www.bodyforlife.com to check it.

It's fantastic! Do it. I have. See my album for my last round after having my daughter. I still have a ways to go, but I'm happy with my body. The password is hotbod for both the folder and the album.

I have the book and the journal. I plan to start Mon. March 7th after I clean out half my garage to make my home gym. I have some free weights and mini trampoline, a weight bench and a Pilates Reformer machine. I have to do something to get this weight off. I'm 5'6" 189 lbs and I'm pear shaped all my weight is between my waist and the top of my knees. I'm hope this home gym will be the answer for me...I'm a single Mom of a 8 yr old and our schedule just doesn't leave time unless I get it done early in the morning before he gets up. So ELLANN'S gym opens soon!!! My ultimate goal is to compete in a fitness competition. I hope there is one for ladies over 40.

    Glad you brought this up.
    I'm on week 2. I keep a food/ exercise journal.

I can't eat any of the milk-based food items on the list or the Myoplex shakes he recommends, though. Something in it makes me wheeze. I've substituded milk-free (soy based) shake that has, unfortunately) less of the protein in the Myoplex. And I have to modify some of the exercises due to a previous back injury. I figure sooner is better than later to get into shape.

I hope this works...Wish me luck!!! I wish you all much luck!

So far, I like the cooking, I'm still trying to get in the habit of exercising everyday, want really is bad for me is that my job has me working some days at night, (from 6pm to 6am) I figure I can just act like the times are still the same, keep eatting like the hours are diferent (if that makes since )

Well anyway, it's only day three, 81 more to go
