  • Black Hair Is Divine.

Although I agree with the title that natural hair is divine. I don't really agree with the some of the views of the video. What do you think?

didn't really know where to post this.

I understand what he is saying, are you guys ofended that he is insulting white people or something? The blond hair being limp and weak was kind of funny. I think the point he is trying to make is that exceptionally beautiful white women in the media have "black traits"(for the most part). That is not hard to understand.

For example, there are advertisements in magazines for implants to enahnce your buttox. It's usually a white women who is the model for this advertisement.

Also, some of the beautiful white women in the media are considered curvey.
For exmaple, Scarlette Johnason, who is not only known for acting, but having big lips, a curvacious figure and a deep throuty voice.
In some black hair stores, skin lightener is sold, even at Indian stores, but I digress. I would lightener only to get rid of my scars...

I totally get this video and I think it was done intelligently. ^_^
I don't exactly agree with the fact that white people worship us, but I get what he is saying....

Well done. I've got my own theory on this. it's hard not to notice the proliferation of tanning salons in my community and not draw the conclusion that my skin tone is coveted. It's hard not to notice the endless new hair "weak chemical fire cream" products that promise "piecier" hair.

...everybody wants to be Black...but not really!

I'M still asking myself what is the point...UHM first he quotes the Bible to support his point, then, he says that Jesus is the white people's counter to the "gods and goddesses" of the ancestors. But if Jesus is black then would it really be a counter? I don't think so. Howeverrr, I am a Christian so I guess the whole understanding of the khemtic religions so to speak, is something I am ignorant about.

The "spin, pediepooh791, and spiritual concept" was kinda interesting...but I don't agree that nappy hair is divine and I don't agree with him when he was talking bad about white people...God made us all in His image. We are all apart of His vdcab56. And only God is divine, not hair nor this universe.

Naw..you're not alone. I found it to be extremely racist and flammatory. When he gets some replies from some white racist who will surely come with their own racist garbage about black "monkeys" and nappy headed coons, he will then feel more justified in his racism, just as the white folks will feel equally justified in theirs....

    Sad...

I see nothing racist about this theory...why y'all think orthodox Jews wear their side locs? So that GOD will recognize them when the time comes. It freaks them out when I do the same :P

The line in my signature is from a Bob Marley song "Time Will Tell"...and if you listen to enough Bob you will realize that he was a true modern day prophet spitting prophecy in just about every song.

JAH WOULD NEVER GIVE THE POWER TO A BALD HEAD refers to the fact that the Levite priests were considered the most powerful men of GOD and were REQUIRED to not use combs on their hair.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but some members seem to be angry because he states that nappy hair is better than "caucasion hair." This video was done in rebuttal of that Imus comment and I think alot of his points are valid.

If you look at this Anthropologicaly, Africans were the first humans to be created. Everyone came from Africa. Black/brown bodies were made to adapt and accept the sun, unlike lighter skin that rejects the sun but thrive in colder climates. Maybe using religion to defend his point is wrong, but at least he did his research on this.

He is using common biological facts that may offend others because he uses actual "celeyajoks125ies" and the tone of his voice. I replayed this video and he states that blond hair is weak and limp and if it is weak and limp, its practically dead. He sounded a but unsure of himself and like he just made that fact up.
Isn't all hair dead? Does this mean nappy hair is "less dead" than those of lighter skin? (I can't believe I just said that)

I feel that one doesn't have to put others down to build themselves up. Man he made it sound like God made this huge mistake when he created white folks.

sometimes I wish we could all (everyone in the world) could just start believing that we are all equally beautiful.....

Yeah but that doesn't make black people better than anyone, just as white aren't better than anyone. This is the same thinking Hitler had in my opinion only it's reversed. Two wrongs don't make a right. I don't think it's justified because it's a black guy that said this crap. If it were the other way around, it'd be a big deal.

I'm not denying what Imus said was wrong and if you're of the same religion then okay, but in this case, I would think, "It's just hair". I don't think it has any universal or spiritual connections. Just the way we were created.

ITA! But i guess that's how we roll in Western civilization; if one thing is very good, the other thing must be very bad instead of them both being beautiful. Like I said before, it started off good then went downhill.

I agree. It seems though, by now, people would grow tired of racial issues by now.

I didn't see the video. My PC is trippin' but I read your posts. All I have to say is "Er body want to "be black", but don't nobody want to be black. Can you guys see what I'm saying.

    Discompling
Bob was telling the truth wasn't he? It's crazy b/c ppl play his music, but no one ever listens.

Ok, so I guess I can see that the overall point of the video was to get black people to love and respect themselves. However, it was totally unnecessary to ridicule white people in order to do it. Seems to me like he still has a little bit of the 'wrong' mentality, seeing as he thinks he has to use the fact that "white people want to be like us" in order to make being like us the 'right' thing.

Also, he may have done SOME research, but everything he said was not even close to being factual. "White skin repels the sun and is unnatural"? Um, NO! White(light) skin absorbs TOO MUCH sunlight and thus makes too much sun toxic. Light skin isn't unnatural; sure, the first people came from Africa, but as they left Africa for other areas, their skin colors 'evolved' to handle the amounts of sunlight available in the areas that they moved to. (sorry, i just took an anthropology class)

Anywho, I think it's great that someone wants black people to be proud of who they are, but what kind of message is he sending by putting down other people in order to do it? I think his attempt was a little misguided and who knows what kind of equally misguided feelings his video is gonna breed.

"Can't we all just get along?"

I'm sorry I just had to laugh at this video! bwahahahahaha
It's sad that he feels the need to put down white folks to make black folks look good and a true Christian would recognize the fact that when God made people he said that it was good EVERYTHING was good.
I liked some of his points but he just went off the wall.
Mostly I just had to laugh at some of the stuff he said. Ha!
