i was searching a site that sells bulk spices and came across Bee Pollen Granules. i've heard of bee pollen being used as a supplement, but know little about it's benefits or how it's used. if any of you have had an experience with it, or received information from a reliable source, like a doc of any kind (not from a site advertising the product), your posts will be greatly appreciated. thank you all.
i'll update with any info i find

    hey ma,
my dad used to (probably still does) eat the bee pollen granules before meals. Not sure what for, but I'll ask him for you. I do remember he used to say it gave him energy. But don't know what nutritive properties it has. I know he used to eat a measured amount though. PM me to remind me tho

I've never taken the granules, but I've eaten straight packaged bee pollen, bought at a health food store. A friend turned me on to it. Apparently if you eat bee a little pollen every day produced in your area ( different species of bees produce different types of pollen in different regions), it builds up your immunity against pollen-related allergies. I don't know a lot about the official version of this, so you may want to start with a Google search.

I bought some too about 2 weeks ago. I got the idea from The eat clean Diet .

I'm trying to come off of low carb cause you lose really well but as soon as you eat something off plan it comes back with friends and I'm getting too old for this mess.

The author Tosca Reno (wife of Oxygen publisher ) says that she adds 1 tbsp. to her cereal along with ground flaxseed and wheat germ every morning. Bee pollen is valued for its complete array of proteins, vitamins, minerals and enzymes. It supports every bodily system with emphasis on nervous and reproductive systems.

If you are worried about allergies esp. pollen allergies use cautiously at the beginning. Introduce your body to it by taking a few grains at a time for a few days.

I'm gonna start taking mine right now and see what happens.

PS: OK, I just took a tsp, just dropped the granules in my mouth and chewed, it was Ok taste like mild honey. I can see dropping a tbsp on my Fiber One and Heart to Heart in the morning.
