Alright everybody, I've decided that I'm going to BC my own hair this weekend, Saturday specifically if I'm not feeling lazy, and I want/need all of your tips for a self BC that you have. I originally planned on having someone else do it, but I don't trust anyone in my head to do that (it would definitely be someone I didn't know doing it). I'm kind of nervous, but excited too. Please help if you can. Thanks in advance.

These tips really depend on how long you have transitioned...

First of all, I would cut at least 1/4 inch past the demarc line, just to make sure you get rid of any scab hair.

If you will have a twa when it is said and done, go to a barber to make sure it is neat.

    Wet it first...

When I did my BC I did it on hair-envy\" class=\"hrln\">dripping wet hair. It was easier for me to see which part was permed and which part wasn't.

Treat yourself afterwards...doing the BC is a big step, and you should reward yourself.

I made sure my hair was wet so that i could see a line of demarcation. and kept a water bottle near by to keep it wet. then i used very sharp scissor. because if you use older of ragged one that can cause for hair damage to you ends

I'm keeping an eye on this thread. I plan on doing a DIY bc very soon. (This afternoon was my deadline, but we'll see. )
