You know I may be the only one, but I think Tony should go. And i hope it is in the most f'd up way possible. Not one of those fools downstairs really have his back. The only one who would of really laid down his life for T was Christopher. Punk azz Paulie is gone run. Watch. He is notorious for running and then trying to push the blame on other people.

Seriously, I think Tony is going to die because the creator of the show doesn't want the show resurrected. At least that's what I think he said in an interview. I can't remember. But if that's true then him dying makes sense.

I'm going to rewatch the episode this morning once the munchkins are at school. I woke up early this morning with the show on my mind and couldn't go back to sleep.

Gigglez: Why was I dreaming about this mess last night as well!?? This is crazy. I do sort of hope Tony doesn't get whacked and not because he was an angel or saint. But because.

And why was Tony upstairs laying on the bed? If someone busts in the first place they are going to aim is the bed, he sh/ be on the floor! And why did I know Tony was going to have heavy artillery?

And why Sil, did you put your gun in the backseat when you KNOW folks are after you? In your lap, finger on the trigger, safety off, hollow points AT ALL TIMES MAN! I feel sorry for Sil but he brought some of that on himself.

And Patsy - dude? Ever heard of suppressive FIRE? If he would have shot back some suppressive fire and make the other side duck, Sil may have had 1/2 a chance to get his piece so they could bust them fools together - wild wild west style! Ok I am tripping here LOL!

And why, does it take Tony having to break everything down for Carmella? He needs to say 2 words - HAUL A and that should be the end of story! No real questions asked and you know the code words right? Carmella knows the game and she knows the game Tony is in - she should have already had an emergency bag packed that is updated every change in season (just in case). Gotta plan ahead man.

Phil, well, he got my respect!

And why was Tony upstairs laying on the bed? If...

I have struggled to contain my laughter while in the workplace. The whole Sil bit...I was thinking the SAME THING! I hate to say it but it's like he asked for it. Bottom line once word got out they were supposed to realize that they were at war and act accordingly but they didn't. I would have picked up a bullet proof vest and everything and had my gack (sp) on me at all times (probably in my hand) - it's not a game people.

I can't say that Phil has my respect and it's because I'm hating. I can't even believe that Tony let Phil Leotardo get the drop on him like that. Folks would be alive if they'd all been smarter while Bobby up there fascinated with the blue train and crap...

Hey you can't hate Phil b/c Tony's crew was lax! I mean, Bobby WAS Junior's driver after all and never popped anyone until recently.

I can only figure these people have been doing the killing and stuff for so long they are off their game a bit when they are the target.

As my husband always says - It ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun!

Phil doesn't have my respect because before becoming boss he was a whiner. He whines about his brother, about Vito being gay, how he gets no respect. Just shut up already. I keep hoping every episode that Robert Dinero and Joe Pesci pop up and beat him to death a la Goodfellas.

It was inevitable for the walls to come crashing down on Tony. Dr. Melfi dropped him as her patient (I liked how she stood up to him and didn't show any fear), the hit on Phil went all screwy, Bobby got killed and Sil is hanging by a thread...the $hit's hitting the fan. I have a sneaky suspicion that Paulie's gonna betray Tony in some way...he appears too shifty. I'm glad Tony took the time to sort AJ's behind out...quit your pitiful crying and stand up like a man. History's repeating itself...Tony will be killed off and AJ will have no choice but to honor the Soprano name. AJ will need to toughen up tho that punk role is not cutting it.

Oooh, see, I thought Janice would be a good candidate to step up the Soprano name since Carmella sheltered AJ so much.

Would somebody PUHLEEZE tell me who that was Sil killed in the first five minutes by choking him with the wire? It was somebody named Burt, but in all the years I've watched it, I have no idea who this man was, even though Sil said he was playing both sides.

My hubby is predicting a movie based on the way they left the ending open.

The ending sucked monkey balls. But OMG I was screaming at Phil's death. I was glad to see that fool gone, but damn! to have his head rolled over as well.

If they have a movie, I think they will show that Paulie flipped too because he was so hesitant to step up.

Okay so is that why it blacked out like that? Showing us that he'd gotten whacked?

on another board they said, "we the audience got whacked"

    Here's what I don't understand...

The cat: Some are saying it's Chris reincarnated. Um, it's a little late for him to be showing up then. He was killed like 4 episodes back. Others are saying the cat is looking at his picture because he was a rat. No, he wasn't.

The ending: okay, maybe Tony did get whacked. But that doesn't explain the fact that when he walked into the diner, he looked at himself sitting down and he wasn't wearing the same clothes. I think he was having a panic attack. He was envisioning himself getting whacked from paranoia.

Hunter: what the hell was the whole point of bringing her back? Of all the loose ends they could of tied up, they chose this one? Yeah, I was sooo interested in finding out what happened to the childhood friend who wanted to do speed.

    ...

i believe it was this one
    http://community.comcast.net/comcastportal...ard.id=sopranos

i went to sooo many looking for an explanation...

they said during the flashbacks of bobby and tony in the boat....one of them asks what's it's like to get whacked...and the other answers something like..."everything going black..."..

i kinda remember that conversation...i want to see that flashback again..

but i watched it again (i'm so addicted :P ) and it's like tony looks up and then there's ABRUPT blackness for a few seconds, then the credits roll.

i hope the creator actually explains it.

I read they are leaving it up to us the audience to basically choose an ending. Perhaps Tony gets whacked along with his family and Meadow was spared which is why they focus so much on her parking episode

    OR

All those folks in the diner are just folks in the diner and Tony is having dinner with his family as usual no drama, no killing.

I hated the fact they focused so much on AJ!

Last night's epi was the worse in season finales that I've ever watched. The only 'character' that I found appealing was the dang cat that spooked Pauley.

I hated the fact they focused so much on AJ!...

AJ is a young Tony Soprano. AJ is going through the same ordeals Tony went through as a youngin. Being born into the mob, with a macho father whose footsteps he inevitably walks in. If you recall in past episodes Tony experiences panic attacks as a youngster. AJ basically has the same panic attacks...unsucessfully tries to commit suicide (but this is just a cry for help; as Dr. Melfi puts it to Tony)...talks in riddles, is uncertain of his future (wants to join the military; which is just bull$hit talk cause AJ's a coward and is only able to fight when he's in a pack). If Tony were to die, AJ would have to fall in line and toughen up in order to run the family business even tho he's spineless and encapable of making major life decisions on his own.

I can't stand AJ and was totally uninterested in learning or seeing more of his life. He was all over the place wanting to do this, that and the other thing. And I am sitting here like "I do not CARE!!!!!"

I did love how everyoen flipped on Phil. Wow what a way to go out!

I agree. I think they are just leaving the ending up to us. I thought that the family ate a meal and just left without incident. But I was wondering why they went to the hole-in-the-wall diner for a family dinner instead of a hoity toity restaurant.

ETA: I hope if they do make a movie that they whack Carmella's enabling, valium-popping character out of the script. Urgg! That woman irks me to no end.

I'm just done. It was all so disappointing that I don't think that we can even really discuss it. There's nothing to say other than they didn't do the show or its viewers justice.

In response to this ending, I'm boycotting onion rings

    They did this to

    - get us to watch the movie
    - get us to buy th DVD with alternative endings
