Humm, God of War that sounds interesting. I'm going to have to look it up.

I'm currently playing the first Prince of Persia (sands of time) for Ps2. (late I know). My sister is playing Final Fantasy X.

On my PC the only games I have and really like are Sims (the first one) and Age of Mythology.

I've been looking into getting Stronghold 2.

Oh yeah, and The Oregon Trail :P

carmen svoipmango i havent played those since the apple II's ( apple with the computer monitor AND keybords all built in to one)

God of War is a Great game especially if you love those fighting adventure games. Its very similar to "Devil May Cry" .

I'm still working on Dark Cloud II. Love it! But I can't find as much time for it as I would like. I have Jak 2...still haven't played that yet. Jak and Daxter I liked a lot...Ty the Tasmanian Tiger...I like those rated E, because I can play with my sons. The first 2 that I mentioned are my games, though...I think those are rated T. (All are for PS2.)

My faves are the RPG "dungeon hacks". So I'm still playing Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2, Champions of Norrath, Champions: Return to Arms (it's sequel), and The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age. I plan on getting Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth later when I get some NnschmeiX time.

I also have a group of old adventure games (and their sequels) that I play occasionally. Games like Mark of Kri and Rise of the Kasai; Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and Warrior Within.

I haven't been playing regularly though since the weather's been nice, but I've been eyeing that God of War for more than a minute. I'm the kind of gamer who doesn't rush to beat the game, but just sits back and enjoys playing - and replaying - great games.

    Any MMOG players out there?

I'd love to play Star Wars: Galaxies, but I've heard the MMOGs are extremely addictive. I'm afraid I'll become permanently fused with my rebeccamiddlebrook23ler and never, ever leave my house again.

What about the Starcraft-Warcraft games, are they any good? Any experiences with them?

I don't do shooters, but one that I might try is Star Wars: Battlefront. It's been out for a while, so I'm going to try and pick it up for <$20 in a little bit.

Any MMOG players out there? I'd love to play Star...

i've played every warcraft/starcraft game that game out except the mmorpg . they're all great . there is a starcraft shooting game that sopposed to come out later this year ( it was sopposed to be out from last year but blizzard has a habit of delaying there games) its only for the consoles (GC PS2 and XBox) . Blizzrd need to hurry up and announce Starcraft 2 which likely will be extrememly popular.

i've played the demo for battlefront. i didnt really impress me. at least not to pay more than 15 - 20 dollars on it. it might be extremely fun if you played it at a lan party for computer but who knows

My husband bought me a PSP last month for my 30th b-day. I returned it, and used the money for some new clothes

Yeah. I heard it wasn't great, just good if you are a fan of SW. That's why I'm going to wait and pick it up for practically nothing. I would like to have a little fun playing as a JngwattsKtrooper and as a Wookiee smuggler fighting for the Rebel Alliance.

I think I'll check out my gaming spots and see what the prices are right now for Battlefront and Warcraft.

JEBE16, how do you like Age of Mythology? I've had...

I personally enjoy playing AOM. I've been playing it for over a year now. It's a pretty good real time strategy game. (I prefer RTS to RPGs). I like the fact that I can build my army from the ground up. I believe you start with 3 villagers and a town center (depending on the civilization selected - 4 civilizations with 12 gods to choose between) and you have to gather the resources (food, wood, good, and god favor) to build from there (houses, barracks, armory, market, etc.). There are 4 levels of game play to choose from. The 1st level is too easy and pretty boring (but is a good speed when you are just starting out and need to get the hang of it), the 4th is to hard for me (I'm usually still trying to gather enough gold and food to make it to the 2nd or 3rd age when the other army starts destroying my village). I've been playing the 3rd level for a while now. Also, I find that playing 1 vs. 1 to be predictable so now I play 1 vs. 2, or 2 vs. 2. (I think you can go up to 6 vs. 6) There are several ways to win. You can either build a "Wonder" (like one of the seven wonders of the world), you can conquer the other civilization(s), you can play king of the hill in which you have to keep possession of the plenty vault for a certain amount of time, or you can play a death match. There are also about 15 - 20 maps to choose from for game play, some have more advantages to certain civilizations than others.

The campaign is pretty engaging and has the 4 difficulty levels to choose between. I don't remember how many levels the campaign hasâ¦I think it is 12 for AOM and 12 additional levels for the Titans Expansion. The 12 from the TE being a continuation of the AOM campaign. This game can also be played online but I haven't tried that.

Sorry about all the "I thinks" the game is at home and I'm at workâ¦

Okay - I guess I could have said that AOM was my favorite game and saved you from that long read :P

I've been playing Sims 2 and Civilization III on the PC. Most of my X-Box games are sports games: NBA2K5, NFL2K5, NBA Street Volume 2. I may break down and get a PS2 so I can play the new Tekken though.

How do you like Sims2? I really want it but I don't know if my PC can handle it.

Also, how do you like Civilization 3? That's another one that I've been looking at.

what really pissed me off is how Soul Calibur 3 is going to be PS2 exclusive...I don't WANT to buy a PS2...but it does have all those fabulous Final Fantasy games...

So on another note, how much do you think the next generation of consoles is going to cost and which one will you get?

The Sims2 is a good game but you need a lot of memory...

You have got to try PHANTOM DUST (XBOX) It is soo good, especially when you're playing Xbox live. I'm also a Rival Schools girl. Street Fighter 3rd Strike is pretty good too.

Well seeing that we have only had our PS2 for a couple of months, it will probably be 2008 before I get a new console.

Okay, I just upgraded my pc to 1024 ram but I'm thinking that I need a new graphics card before I get Sims 2, and probably a new monitor. Mine likes to black out in the middle of intense gameplay.

How do you like Sims2?* I really want it but...

I love Sims 2. I had all of the original Sims expansion packs so there are some features that I miss from some of the expansion packs. The main difference between Sims 1 and 2 is the addition of the life cycle and aspirations. Sims go through the full life cycle: infant, toddler, child, teenager, adult, and elder. Sims also can die of old age (unless you choose the option not to). They choose an aspiration when they become teenagers and that sets their wants and fears for their lives. When they achieve a want, it ups their mood and they do better in other aspects of their lives. When they achieve a fear, they do worse. There is a good variety of aspiration so you can play with a lot of different personalities.

Non-game related, there is also a huge online community of tips and add ons to the game, both through EA/Maxis and fans, that have been a great addition to the game for me. The only bad thing that I can say about the game is that it is highly addictive and can suck me in for hours at a time. Your computer does have to have a lot of hard drive space for the game and RAM so that it will run smoothly. I'm thinking about getting the University expansion pack, but I think I need to invest in more RAM first.

I also love Civilization 3. I'm working through it with each of the civilizations available and I really like the different challenges that each culture brings to the table. I haven't succeeded in taking over the world yet, but I have gotten pretty close. If you haven't played any of the Civ games before, I do recommend getting the game guide since it covers a lot of the details that aren't in the manual. I am thinking about getting Civilization Complete and passing on my original copy to my younger brother because I want the expansion packs.

I'm not buying any of the new consoles. I just don't play enough to justify getting another. Plus I figure there are, and will continue to be, plenty of PS2 games out there for me to play until I "retire" from gaming. :P
